Allergy and Asthma

Why See Us For Treatment?

Millions of people experience the uncomfortable symptoms of seasonal allergies every year, such as itchy eyes or a runny nose. Others experience the life-threatening allergic reactions of food allergies or insect bites that could even induce chronic asthma. Here at Allergy & Asthma Associates, we work with individuals to greatly reduce these symptoms and more, to improve quality of life and reduce the recurrence of health issues that result from allergies and chronic lung disease.

“I was so nervous going here today because I have never been allergy tested. I found out that I have very sensitive skin & I’m allergic to NSAIDs. Dr. Wendelborn is very informative & took the time to explain everything. I would highly recommend his office for your allergy & asthma needs. I had a great experience from the minute I made contact with his office. Keep up the great job!”

Marcia Nicholson

“Dr. Konz and Dr. Wendelborn are amazing doctors. The kind of doctors that really take the time to listen and help. I have never been to a doctor who made me feel more like I was important. The staff always goes above and beyond to help with insurance and billing and they are always friendly and accommodating. I always recommend allergy and asthma associates to all my friends and family.”

Patrick Sweeney

“The woman who roomed me and did all the testing was wonderful! She was gentle when doing the pokes on my back and gave me a heads up on which area of the back might be a little more sensitive. Dr. Konz was also so wonderful! She was also very sweet and genuine. She spent extra time with me talking things through and was very thorough!”

What To Expect

When you need an allergy shot, just drive up our location in Appleton and we will see you within 15 minutes. You don’t even need an appointment. If you haven’t started allergy shots, or you’re switching providers, here’s our process and what you can expect from immunotherapy.

Allergy injections should be administered at a medical facility with a physician present since occasional reactions may require immediate therapy. That’s why we require our patients to come in to our offices for their allergy shots. Or you may get your shots at your family doctor’s office if more convenient as long as a physician can monitor you.

As an added precaution, you must wait in our office where you receive your injection at least 20 minutes after each injection so that, in the unlikely event of a generalized reaction, you can be quickly treated and observed, thereby decreasing the likelihood of a more severe reaction.
